Prepare for 1st October 2026
The National Listing Framework and New LCJ Guidance on Live Links
The Criminal Practice Direction on Listing (CrimPDL) and Lady Chief Justice’s Guidance on the use of Live Links in Criminal Courts come into force on 1st October 2026
A link to the CrimPDL, the LCJ’s Guidance, and a SPJ Guidance note for practitioners are to be found on the Guidance Tab.
Changes to the PTPH Form in DCS
To support the new CrimPDL the online PTPH form within DCS will be updated to allow completion of PTPH Version 3 (PTPH3). PTPH3 should be used for all new PTPH hearings taking place on or after 1 October 2026.
The updated form is now available within DCS to support preparation of the PTPH form in advance of hearings from 01 October 2026.
When preparing or completing a PTPH within DCS, users should check which version of the form is displayed.
Defence users who believe the incorrect version of the form is being used should notify the prosecutor before completing any defence sections of the form.
Please note that where a PTPH2 is replaced by a PTPH3, any information previously entered directly into the online DCS form will be lost. Raising the issue before completing any sections of the form will help to avoid unnecessary duplication of work.
All users will only be able to log into CCDCS using their primary email address or User Name. If you previously used to log in using a secondary email address on your CCDCS account you must start using either your primary email address or User Name from now on. Please bear this information in mind if you have your login details saved on your browser and update your saved details if they are not set to use your primary email address or User Name. User Names are set by account holders when their accounts are created and are not in the format of an email address.
Please Note a primary email address can only be a Justice, CPS, eJudiciary or CJSM email address.
