18/11/2020 18:00 - Known issue with comments added to exisiting comments

We have been made aware of an issue when users add a Tightly Shared or Widely Shared comment to an existing comment, after clicking the "Add Comment" button. Once saved the comment reverts to being a Privately Shared Comment and is then visible only to the user that made the comment. New comments made by highlighting a section of a document using the tools in the "Notes" toolbar of the Review screen are unaffected by this issue.

We are currently working on a fix for this issue and hope to have it deployed in the coming days. Until a fix is in place we would advise all users, that after adding a comment to an existing comment using the "Add Comment" button and clicking "Save", to wait until the comment saves then click "Edit" on the comment to change it to a Tightly Shared or Widely Shared comment as necessary.

We apologise for the inconvenience this issue has caused and will provide a update on this homepage message once a fix is in place.
